Homework

• Before you begin, make sure to complete your registration by filling out this form. It should take about 2 minutes. Once you complete your registration and provide your mailing information, we will begin the process of mailing you your makeup kit if your course purchase includes one.
• Upload a headshot or picture of yourself so that your teacher can get to know you. This headshot may be used for marketing purposes so make sure it's one that you like!

What to expect:

❖Have your tools, makeup kit, pen and a paper to take notes during every section. We recommend making a running list of questions to ask the instructor during your live calls.

❖IMA will mail you your professional makeup artist kit if you’ve purchased the full 32-hour course with kit option.  Please allow for a week for IMA to send the kit via mail.

❖Make sure to complete every section in order to move to the next section. You must complete both level one and two and all assignments to receive your certificate.  

❖There will be mandatory homework assignments to show that you have mastered each module.  An instructor will reply to homework assignments as needed within 48 hours of submission.

❖It is your responsibility to have adequate lighting and a camera or phone to document your makeovers and to support the video calls.  We suggest natural lighting facing your eyes or studio lighting that is referenced in our Amazon Store.

❖In order to take the course, you will need a makeup kit with the essential supplies. We offer a makeup kit through the professional makeup brand Graftobian that is available for purchase and shipment (or pick up if you are located in Atlanta) to you through our checkout page. Please see the attached video for more information on the kit, recommendations and the purpose/use of the items.

❖It is up to your discretion to attend the 30-minute live calls with an instructor after you complete Level 1 and again after Level 2.  This is an added bonus for your makeup experience so please take advantage of it.  We have made this possible by scheduling a Zoom Seminar every first and third Thursday of the month.

If you would like to schedule additional time with the instructor, each 1 hour is an additional $62.50.  Just let your instructor know and they will send you a separate invoice.

If you are confused about a subject, don’t be afraid to ask your instructor during your live call.

❖At the end of your 32-hour course, you will be able to download a copy of your Makeup Artist Certification.  You can also purchase a hard copy that will be mailed to you for $15. This option is available on the sales page. Please allow 7 business days for IMA to send the certificate via mail if you ordered one.

You will have several tools and experiments to help you along. We will provide downloadable worksheets and your kit items. You may also want to grab a writing pad and pen to take notes.
